Changes to the race format have been developed for the 2016 race year and beyond. Following is a summary of this format.

The race will be changed to a category format:

  1. Mini Schuss, Classed by Gender, ages 10 through 13
  2. Snowboard, Classed by Gender, and age classes
  3. Recreational, Classed by Gender, and age classes
  4. Competitive Ski, Classed by Gender

Teams are still part of the race. Competitors from any category can be grouped as a 3 racer team to compete for the best combined guess time.

Mini Schuss has two sub categories, SK-Skis and SB-Snowboard. If there are enough snowboarders in a race they will be recognized seperately.

Registration
  • Registration will be online and at a gathering the evening before the race. There will be no Saturday, day of race registrations.
  • The race will be capped at 150 competitors
  • When you register you will either register as a 3 racer team or an individual, indicating each racers category, gender and age.
Start Orders
  • Racers will run grouped by category. Starting with Competitive, Mini Schuss, Snowboard, and finally Recreational. This order may vary from year to year.
  • Within each category a random start order will be assigned along with a corresponding Bib.
  • Team, Gender and age group will not be part of the start order assignment.
Results

Awards will be much the same as previous years, with

  • Team closest to their guess time. Commencing 2018 closest to guess time will be calculated as the total of the absolute difference of each racer.
  • Award group prizes, fastest, top three
  • Faster time and radar
